The name ‘MultiTech Music Workshop’ represents the expansive range of repair services offered to customers through the technical ability of the owner Anton Bourdillon. He grew up with music in the family & he's played various instruments including sax, trumpet, drums and percussion in bands and groups over the years.
Anton started working life in 1985 as an apprentice Fitter-Machinist and after 8 years in mining and production engineering he decided to merge his love of music with his technical training. In 1992 he enrolled as a full-time student on the Musical Instrument Technology (MIT) course at Merton College in Surrey with the view to maximizing the experience through the variety of skills offered by the course at the time.
As a result MultiTech offers some advantages over more specialized repair services -

During his studies Anton was fortunate to be taught by some renowned and respected fellows in the business, Phill Chambers (craft theory), Brian Ackerman (woodwind), Trevor Head (brass), Keith Graves (violin) and Mike Hobbs (guitar). Anton feels extremely fortunate to have benefitted from the scope of their combined knowlege & describes his experience at Merton College as 'inspiration & influential'. He qualified with a City & Guilds Higher Award in 1995 and went on to work in the following established music shops before starting MultiTech.
